At the beginning of 2022 I was struggling
2020 was a year filled with a series of traumatic events
And over the following months I had slowly sunk into depression and panic attacks
I didn’t even realize how bad it was until the beginning of 2022 when I started asking myself what the point of this life thing actually is
that scared the hell out of me
As someone who had felt on fire with excitement for life for many of the years
I hadn’t expected to reach a low place ever again
But with the traumatic events I had let go of most of the habits and practices that I knew were scientifically proven to boost mood
That low propelled me into action
I returned to my dietetic trainings
I returned to the science of happiness
I focused on raising my vibration
I implemented habits + practices that I knew were scientifically proven to boost mood
It took a few months
But from Jan to June I noticed a big shift
I started to feel content and while I wasn’t yet the vibrant version of myself
I could tell I was headed in the right direction
By October people from my social media community were reaching out commenting on how vibrant and happy I felt
They were right, I was happy
By December of 2022
I was sitting at my desk writing a post for instagram
I started to reflect on how I was feeling at the beginning of the year
Tears started to stream down my face
Life FELTED so wildly different
Nothing had really changed
But I was happy
My heart was full
I felt alive and inspired
I was excited to live life again
And that was also the moment I realized I needed to share this information with the world
I needed to get these tools into the hands of the everyday human wanting to live a life that FEELs different
For every human who wants to be HAPPIER, HEALTHIER and MORE VIBRANT
This inspiration would become the formation of what we call the Happiness Academy

It’s difficult to make any lasting change in your life without purpose, meaning and a big why. This month will combine spiritual teachings with inner work to connect you to your why. People with a life purpose are less likely to have depression.

It’s difficult to feel emotions like happiness and joy when we’re bogged down with unprocessed emotions. This month we’re diving into tools to help heal + process emotions. [please note this is not a replacement for therapy but a supplement]

Inflammation is GREATLY correlated to depression so much so that in some studies patients who taking anti-inflammatory meds saw a decrease in depression sx. This month we’re focusing on simple ways to decrease inflammation.

Research is showing that toxins are building up in our bodies and increasing inflammation + impacting the brain. This month you’ll receive everything from clean product recipes to foods that help detox.

ASK US ANYTHING
Dietitian Shelby Rose worked as a clinical dietitian for four years. During her time in clinical she served as the national subject matter expert on the low FODMAP diet, implemented various nutrition for mental health and addiction classes and specialized in functional health.
She became passionate about holistic wellness after she struggled with brain fog, slurred speech and memory impairments while working as a clinical RD. Her own health struggles propelled her to create the gut protocol you’ll see inside of the happiness academy. This protocol has played a pivotal role in improving her memory, energy and even body weight distribution due to decreased inflammation.
In 2020 Shelby experienced an emotional trauma in her personal life that lead to depression and a general feeling of what is the point of this all. In 2022 she hit an emotional rock bottom and committed to implementing the practices and tools she shares in this program. Within 9 months her whole world changed and she realized how big of a biological factor to happiness we are missing.
