Should you dual-wield in Elden Ring? Dual-wielding weapons in the game indeed boost your damage and increase attack speed, allowing for faster and more lethal combinations. For example, you can dual-wield the Uchigatana with the Rivers of Blood, resulting in a blood-soaked onslaught.

Why settle for one weapon when you can wield two? Equipping two weapons simultaneously is achieved by selecting your desired weapons for the left and right hand. However, there are some downsides to the Power Stance, like being vulnerable to certain attacks. Nevertheless, the increased damage and speed make it a worthwhile trade-off.

Moreover, you can dual-wield a wide array of weapons in Elden Ring, ranging from Greatswords to Katanas, Clubs to Spears. Each combination can offer various effects, including high bleed damage. Interestingly, some combinations are so powerful that you can one-shot your enemies, as seen with the Giant Crusher.

The weapon alone is terrifying; imagine what two of these could do! Mash both the Crushers with Royal Knight’s Resolve and unleash hell on your enemies.

The Rapier’s piercing attacks can break an enemy’s guard, creating an opening for subsequent strikes. Notably, it synergizes well with Scarlet Rot and Bleed, in addition to Talismans.

For added excitement, consider equipping these Rapiers with Bloodhound’s Step and Bloody Slash. The Antspur Rapier emerges as a top choice for dual-wielding in Elden Ring, offering a thrilling and effective combat experience.

Godskin Peeler

First off, the Godskin Peeler is an incredible blood loss buildup weapon that can be deadly. Secondly, you can dual-wield it to deal more damage. You can boost the blood loss buildup and the damage by equipping the weapon with Ash of War Seppuku of Occult.

By doing that, you will also be able to proc more blood loss and it works wonders in PvP and PvE fights. The range on the weapon is perfect for melee battles and the pointy ends look deadly!

The reason why I recommended the Occult Ash of war is because it will coat the blades with blood and increase your damage and blood loss on the enemies, allowing you to deal devastating damage.

Consequently, the blood loss alone does a lot of damage and if you dual-wield the weapon, it can be quite as strong as the Rivers of Blood Katana minus the range!

Rivers of Blood

Dual-wielding the Rivers of Blood Katana in Elden Ring is highly effective due to its versatile moveset and damage scaling with Arcane. Its slash and pierce attacks make it a formidable choice, with a bonus bleed effect. Equipping either the Uchigatana or a second Rivers of Blood Katana can significantly boost your damage output, and the weapon has relatively low requirements, with just 20 Arcane needed.

However, facing an invader wielding this weapon can be challenging due to its move set. It’s worth noting that if the Rivers of Blood Katana gets nerfed, it may become less potent, similar to the Frayed Blade in Dark Souls 3. You can acquire this katana by defeating Bloody Finger Okina.

Dual-wielding the katana can greatly increase the blood loss Buildup on enemies, and one of its weapon skills, Corpse Piler, deals both fire and physical damage. When power-stancing these swords, the move set becomes uniquely powerful. You can take down bosses like Margot with just two successive jump attacks and one slash attack.

Keep in mind that the downside of dual-wielding these swords is that you can obtain only one per playthrough, and you’ll need someone else to drop their Scavenger’s Curved Sword for you. Finding a generous fellow player to assist you in getting these swords may require some luck!

Spiked Club

The Spiked Clubs, though not ancient artifacts dating back to 16 B.C. (just a jest!), are formidable when dual-wielded. They primarily scale with Strength and Dexterity, and their heavy attacks can deal devastating damage.

You can obtain the Reduvia Daggers through Yura’s Questline. They are considered among the top choices in my list of Elden Ring’s best dual-wield weapons.

Golden Halberd

Dual-wielding weapons in Elden Ring, like the Golden Halberd, can lead to powerful five-hit combos, emphasizing jump and swing attacks. Heavy weapons, such as the Golden Halberd and Giant Crusher, trade speed for massive damage.

While this can be satisfying, it may not fare well against faster opponents. Dual-wielding enhances damage output, and combining the Golden Halberd with Golden Vow for additional damage and defense is recommended.
