Subscribe to the Academic Calendar Feed
The Office of the University Registrar provides a calendar feed that can easily be subscribed to as a way to stay current if the calendar changes at any point. Subscribe to the Google Calendar Feed by going to the calendar year you are looking forand adding it to your calendar client.
A .pdf file of the calendar can be downloaded from the respective calendar year.
As an added convenience, the Office of the University Registrar now provides a .ics file of the academic calendar that can be easily transferred to your device or personal calendar.
Download the Academic Calendar as an .ics file (right click and select “Save As…”) and follow the steps below (depending on your calendar client):
Outlook Instructions for Mac
If you would like to add information from an iCal file into your Outlook Calendar:
- In iCal, on theFilemenu, chooseExport.
- Note:Outlook can only import iCal events that are saved in the Export (.ics) format. Outlook can’t import events saved in the iCal Archive (.icbu) format.
- In theSave Asbox, type a name for the exported file.
- On theWherepop-up menu, select a location on your hard disk to save the file, and then chooseExport.
- In Outlook for Mac, at the bottom of the navigation pane, findCalendar.
- In the Finder, locate the .ics file, and drag the .ics file to the Outlook Calendar grid or list.
- Click onImportin theAdd Eventmenu.
- The dates from the iCal file will now be imported into your existing Outlook Calendar
Outlook Instructions for PC
If you would like to add information from an iCal file into your Outlook Calendar:
- Click on an iCal link on a website.
- When prompted, clickSave and save the file to your computer.
- Open Microsoft Outlook and go toFile>Open>Import.
- When prompted selectImport an iCalendar (.ics) or vCalendar file (.vcs)and clickNext.
- When prompted, browse for the iCal file that you saved to your computer and clickOK(the file will have the file extension of .ics e.g. basics.ics).
- When prompted, clickImport.
- The dates from the iCal file will now be imported into your existing Outlook Calendar
Gmail Instructions
If importing into Gmail, follow these steps:
After you’ve exported your events, you can import them into Google Calendar. You can import ICS andCSV files on a computer.
- OpenGoogle Calendar.
- In the top right, click Settings.
- ClickImport & Export.
- Click Select file from your computer and select the file you saved. The file should end in “ics” or “csv”.
- Choose which calendar to add the imported events to. By default, events will be imported into your primary calendar.
- ClickImport.
- The dates from the iCal file will now be imported into your existing Google Calendar
