Fall Classroom Door Ideas

Our first classroom door idea is Fallin’ Into Learning.

This is an easy door decoration that celebrates the back-to-school season and will be appropriate even as you approach Thanksgiving! In fact, the printable fall leaves we used on this door can be taken off the door and added to a thankful tree later on so you get extra use out of them!

The simple fall leaves and letter combo can also be used on a bulletin board for fall, or you can opt for other fall-related sayings that have the same effect:

  • Harvesting Knowledge
  • Fall Back in Love With Math
  • Looking Who’s Falling Into Kindergarten

Be a Rainbow in Someone Else’s Cloud Classroom Door

Decorating your classroom door is a lot of work, and you may be up for doing that kind of work a few times throughout the year … but if you’re not, then opt for something that will last the whole year through!

This rainbow-themed classroom will work for any classroom for the whole year, no matter what theme or topic you are learning about. This quote from Dr. Maya Angelou is a wonderful reminder to your students about being kind and the power of that kindness, especially when fellow students are having a rough day.

To make this rainbow-themed classroom door, we used:

  • Black bulletin board background paper
  • Colorful party decorations
  • Colored cardstock
  • Rainbow letter set
  • Blank letters printed on colored paper

We’re Ready for a Colorful Year

Use that fall classroom door decorating idea to set the tone for the school year ahead, and let students know it is going to be one colorful year! We used printable crayon cut-outs for a fun addition to the theme — perfect for the primary grades — but you may opt for colorful rainbows or colored pencils.

If you’re welcoming students back to school with this door, you may want to extend the rainbow theme throughout the room! Grab rainbow acts of kindness resources to start the year off on a bright foot:
