Can you believe that the 100th day of school is already here? The time has both flown by and dragged on for what felt like 1000 days. Ha!

Many of the teachers in our Facebook group said that the 100th day was fast approaching for them, so I wanted to make sure that I got you these 100th day of school activities as quickly as possible!

Do you celebrate the 101 day of school or the 120th day of school and also need ideas? Most of these activities have options for all three days!

Let’s take a closer look at the activities included in this free 100th day of school activities pack.

100th Day Fine Motor Mats

Are you as in love with morning tubs in the classroom as I am? Teachers have been loving my free fine motor mats as a quick add-in to their morning tubs, so I thought we definitely needed a 100th day version!

There is one mat included to make the number 100 out of each of these manipulatives:

• Pattern blocks
• Popsicle sticks
• Pom-poms
• Bricks
• Cubes
• Dough
• Pony beads

While students are simply making the number 100 (or 101 or 120) on each mat, the activity doesn’t have to end there. You can then challenge them to make something else using those same manipulatives.

100th Day of School Decodable Readers

One of the hardest parts of special days like the 100th day of school is the challenge of keeping things as routine as possible. If we can have our Science of Reading groups like normal but add in a 100th day twist, why not?

These 100th day of school decodable readers are awesome because EVERY student can read the exact same story, no matter where they are within my Science of Reading Guided Curriculum.

The same decodable book is included for each of these skills:

• Alphabet decodable readers
• Beginning CVC
• CVC words
• Digraphs
• Beginning blends

Of course, the text gets a little longer and more complex as the phonics skills progress, but the story stays the same.

100th Day of School Read Alouds

Follow up your 100th day of school read alouds with one of the included reading response sheets. These comprehension pages are generic enough that they can be used with any book!

100th Day of School Literacy Centers

Again, we want to keep things as routine as possible on the 100th day of school, but that doesn’t mean we can’t add in some fun themed centers! These party-themed centers can be used anytime throughout the year.

These 100th day of school literacy centers offer a few differentiation options so that you can use them with multiple groups of students.

All centers include these skills:

• Alphabet
• Beginning sounds
• CVC words
• Digraphs
• Beginning blends
• CVCe words

Cover by Code Literacy Centers

For this 100th day cover by code center, students will cover the pictures or words with the matching colored manipulatives.

Colorful cubes will work great for this, or you can use these fun star erasers.

Spin and Cover Literacy Centers

For the Spin and Cover centers, just add a transparent spinner and manipulatives! Students will spin a picture or a beginning sound and cover the match.

100th Day of School Writing

Of course on the 100th day of school we have to WRITE about all things 100! Choose any (or all) of these classic 100th day of school writing prompts to get your students thinking.

Students can write about:

• What they would do with $100
• What they would want 100 of
• What they will do when they are 100 years old
• What they have learned in the last 100 days of school

100th Day Math Activities

If you’re celebrating a day all about the number 100, of course it just makes sense to add in as many counting to 100 activities as possible, right?

These 100th day of school number order puzzles can be laminated as a center or students can color them, cut them apart, and glue them together on a sheet of construction paper.

This puzzle includes a counting by ones or a counting by tens version.

We can also practice counting by tens with these fun no prep math worksheets! For the first worksheet, students will cut out the numbers and glue them in order to count by tens to 100 or 120.

For the second worksheet, students will draw sets of ten as they count to 100 or 120 by tens.

If you want to give your students a challenge, these 100 chart missing number worksheets are a great activity!

Students will identify what numbers are hidden by the pictures on their 100 chart. Then, they will write the number next to the corresponding picture.

Partner Math Games

For your math centers (or as the partner practice activity during your math lesson), your students can play this fun Race to 100 math game!

Materials needed: game mats, dice, game pieces

How to play:

1. Each player will roll a die.
2. They will compare numbers. The player with the larger number gets to move up one rung on the ladder.
3. Partners will continue rolling, comparing, and moving until one partner reaches the top.
4. The first player to reach 100 wins!

100th Day Dot Painting

Need a fine motor break during the day? This 100th day dot painting activity is perfect!

Students will dip cotton swabs in paint and use them to dot the number 100 (or 101 or 120). Then, they will practice tracing and writing the number at the bottom of the page.

100th Day STEM Building

Of course, what would the 100th day of school be without some hands-on building challenges?

You can challenge students to use 100 pattern blocks, cups, dominoes, plastic chain links, and more to create a picture, tower, or statue (depending on the material).

Optional recording sheets are included so that students can write about their 100th day creations.

100th Day of School Crowns

Last but definitely not least, students can make 100th day of school crowns! For these crowns, you will have students cut out the crown and glue it on a sentence strips. You can print these on colorful paper or have students color them.

Then, measure the sentence strip to fit each student’s head and staple.

Optional: For an extra fun challenge, give each student ten strips of ten blocks. They can hole punch the boxes or draw shapes in each box.

Then, they can attach them to their hats as silly 100th day of school hair!
