Back to school season means the anticipation of Show and Tell! Kids love this age old tradition of bringing an item in to share with their peers. It can be a mind bending decision trying to decide what to bring in; after all what your child has in mind and what you have in mind can be two very different things. So what should you decide on? Look below at 10 creative show and tell ideas for kids, so your child can shine at Show and Tell and have fun showing off something unique and fun.

  1. Their favorite fruit.

Encouraging healthy eating is always a good idea. Have kids bring in a piece of their favorite fruit so they can show peers healthy foods they like to eat. An apple, orange, or banana are all perfect for showing off during show and tell.

  1. A stuffed animal that makes them feel safe.

If your child has a favorite doll or stuffed animal they like to sleep with, they can certainly share that with friends. Let kids show off their favorite plush and tell where they got it and share what they love so much about it.

  1. A picture of them as a baby.

Kids get a kick out of baby pictures! Let kids share a picture of them as a baby so their friends can get a good chuckle. Kids love looking at old pictures so this is also a nice time to reminisce together as you dig out photos.

Did your child get a special gift for their birthday? If so, why not take that to show and tell? They can share the gift, tell about the person who gave it to them, and even say a little bit about their birthday party.

Have your child take their favorite bedtime book to share. Your child can share the title, author, and give an overview of the book so maybe their friends will want to check it out.
